Prior to joining the new well, I had been temporarily successful in many different diets and “diet programs”. The problem was being able to change my habits permanently. None of these programs were successful in the long run, because after I met my goal, I would revert back to the bad habits. This meant being on a weight loss/weight gain roller coaster. I couldn't figure out why I was gaining weight when I didn't eat that much. Turns out, it wasn't how much I was eating, it was WHAT I was eating. The nutrition plan and counseling have been the difference for me. I GET IT NOW. I have learned how to eat, what to eat, when to eat. I know what protein is! I know how to balance each of the food groups. The food plan is so easy to follow and fits right in with my lifestyle. I'm more in tune with my body, and know that when I indulge, I know what the outcome will be. Guess what!? I can get right back on track! I have also had steady encouragement and great ideas from each of the consultants. I love being able to chat with not only the consultants, but the members. It’s great to bounce ideas off each other. I feel part of a community of women that have the same goals, challenges, and successes. It also provides support and accountability. I quickly realized that this isn’t a temporary thing for me. It’s life changing! It’s about being healthy! I have recently met my goal of 30 lb. weight loss, and have started the maintenance. I have no doubt I will stay on track since I feel SO GREAT!
